About IROVT
The International Relations Organization at Virginia Tech (IROVT)
is a student organization dedicated to educating the Virginia Tech community
about issues of pertinence to the international forum. Every semester, we pick
one or two areas of focus and host events, including displays, speakers, panels,
and forums.
Our other main activity is Model United Nations. We have
attended conferences in the United States and Canada, as well as hosted simulations and
conferences for students from the middle school to the college level.
For the Fall 2007 semester, we will be addressing Human
Trafficking as our main international issue. We are also in the process of
organizing several simulations and our annual high school conference, VTMUNC.
IROVT would like to send our deepest condolences to Northern Illinois
University in the wake of the shooting that happened on February 14, 2008. We understand what you are going through, and we are here for you.
IROVT lost several members on April 16, 2007.
